Global Temperature Graph

What is the horizontal scale of your graph? It goes from 1860 to 2000 in incriments of 20 years.
What is the vertical axis showing? The temperature in degrees C.
What are the units? It goes up by .2 degrees C.
What is the total range shown? The increasing temperature from -.6 to .6 degrees C.
Can you tell from the host's page where the data came from? I couldn't tell, result was "Page not Found." But it looks very exact, so I'm guessing from some educational or governmental site.

Global Warming

1. I think the average temperature around the globe is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I think this because a lot of places are really warm, and many have that as the average year round.

2. Global Warming has probably increased by about 15 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a lot for polar animals, who need it to be cold all real round.

3. I think that the hottest the earth has ever been was 125 degrees Fahrenheit. The coldest was probably -90 degrees Fahrenheit. I just guessed it because it seems a reasonable range.

4. Yes, I am very concerned about global warming. Ice caps have been melting at an alarming rate, and many polar animals like polar bears are close to extinction because of warming temperatures.

Question 4

More rain makes soil more fertile for growing crops, and trees able to grow. Where it is colder, there isn't rain so therefore vegetation cannot grow.
